However, a few weeks back, I noticed that there were some feather’s sticking out of the bottom drainage holes but I had to wait a few more days before I caught them coming in and out. The apple tree provides a rich source of food for them as I found out last year watching them feed from my bedroom window. I have got another box up in the other apple tree that is designed to house tree-creepers but not seen any action there yet.
I have a couple of communal nest boxes ready for the house sparrows which are hanging around the front garden. I just need to get them up on the wall.
