We had await of about 3 hours as they were flat out with the pre-Christmas rush. Having seen what people in Ethiopia put up with for years without medical treatment I wasn’t in the mood to complain. We are truly blessed with the NHS in this country. Having travelled around the world and seen what other nations have in place we should be very thankful for what we have. I know we have long waiting lists and MRSA and other issues to contend with but we need to support the NHS instead of complaining about it. The staff who were working that night where tremendous and as I slowly became more normal I sat and watched them do a sterling job looking after me and countless others. Angels, the lot of them!
Don’t worry, apart from losing a shed load of weight, I am pretty much back to normal now and getting back to work. Happy New Year to you all!
