Last month, I did find time to take a proper holiday though. I work on a daily basis for the vet practice so often forget to book time off. i love my vet job but it is high pressure so to get away is a great release.
Maybe because I have traveled too extensively as the last thing I want to do on holiday is get on a plane. i love exploring the UK and this week off Dunc and I set off down south to see mates of ours in Cornwall. Basing ourselves around St Ives we managed to squeeze a huge amount into the week including: Surfing, Running, Kite Flying, Golf and Chess (basically a weird pentathlon - I’m not much for sitting around - except when playing Chess).
So been back at work again refreshed and the garden is looking pretty good too - lots of lettuce, courgette, onions and spuds. The butternut squash may make it and one garlic bulb is hanging in there!
